Rockworth Capital Partners Strengthens Management Team With Two Senior Appointments

Rockworth Capital Partners Pte Ltd (“RCP” or the “Group”), today announced the appointment of Joe Gooi to the role of Director and Head of Business Development, and Charmaine Cai as Vice President, Investment. Both Joe and Charmaine assumed their new positions with RCP on 8 January 2018.

Joe Gooi comes with over 20 years of experience in investment banking, real estate investments, fund/portfolio management and asset management. He has held senior positions with various established organisations such as CapitaLand, Aviva Investors, Generali, Digital Realty, ANZ Bank and Deutsche Bank. Prior to joining RCP, Joe was Vice President and Head, Investment and Asset Management at Generali Real Estate Asia.

 

Joe has extensive regional working experience covering markets such as Japan, Singapore and Australia.  Fluent in Japanese, English and Mandarin, Joe holds a Master of Commerce Degree with finance and accounting majors from the University of Sydney and has been appointed Justice of The Peace by the Australian Government.

 

In his new capacity as Head of Business Development, Joe is responsible for sourcing and evaluating opportunities in new and existing markets, developing new funds and joint-ventures, and investor relations matters. Joe reports to Lim Kin Song, Chief Executive Officer of the Group.

 

Charmaine Cai is an experienced real estate investment and transaction professional. Prior to joining RCP, she was with a European fund management company for 10 years, and was directly involved in the initiation, sourcing and execution of its investment strategies in Asia Pacific.  Her recent deals include countries like Australia, China, Japan and Korea.  She also held previous investment roles at Morgan Stanley and CapitaLand, where she covered portfolio allocation, investment advisory, risk management and corporate finance.

 

Charmaine holds a Bachelor of Business Management with First Class Honours from the Singapore Management University, majoring in Finance and Law.  She also spent half a year at the Wharton School of Business as an international exchange student.

 

In her new capacity as Head of the Investment Team, Charmaine reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and is responsible for origination, evaluation and execution of property transactions.

 

Kin Song continues to be well-supported by an experienced and agile management team with a strong track record of success and value-creation. Chapman Seah, Managing Director (Investment Management) continues to provide leadership to a strong and capable investment management team, and Yap Fui Wui, Group Financial Controller, continues to oversee the finance and reporting, treasury and tax functions at RCP, as well as other corporate matters.
